What I learned From Jeff Galloway Today
I learned a few new things today. It was about shoes.
1) Take a pair of well worn running shoes with you when you go to the running store. Comment – I assume he means a specialty running store not cattle call places like Dick’s Sporting Goods and Sports Authority. Ha! See if you get my business again!
2) Women’s shoes tend to be narrower than mens, except the heal is usually smaller. Comment – My problem is that the ball of my foot is wide and spread out like a mans, while my arches are very high and contracted. Add unusually narrow heels and you get the picture. Buying shoes is a real nightmare. I need a dedicated professional.
3) Once you find a pair of good running shoes go back and buy the same pair again in about 3-4 weeks because the manufactures will make significant changes or may discontinue that model within a few weeks. Comment – I knew they were always switching things up, but I didn’t know it was during such a small time frame.
Be sure to read up on how to break in your new shoes on page 79. Why didn’t I think of that?
