I haven’t quite mastered this move yet, but I’m getting there!

I’ve taken a rather long hiatus from running, but I’ve doubled up my one on one Pilates sessions and I’ve noticed some improvements. Mostly, I don’t suffer from headaches as often and my gait seems to have straightened out. I used to turn my right foot, in a waddle type of formation. Now, not so much. It takes time to undo the habits of a lifetime. Also, I’m working on body awareness. I can’t seem to isolate my abs without engaging my neck an shoulder muscles.

in the meantime, check this out. I found this awesome website with Pilates tips and exercises to try out. The author is doing, “Pilates in Layers.” I’m not sure I totally get the concept, but in theory it sounds good.
